PROJECT NO. HDP-CO64(99)--6B-64

Location: Highland Acres Rd. from 233rd St. North to Lincoln Way.
Contractor: Cessford Construction Inc. from Le Grand, IA.
Construction Activity: Construction on new grade of roadway began on May 14, 2009, and was completed in the fall of 2009. The road has been paved with 4 inches of new asphalt. Shouldering and painting are finished, the county crews will be picking up a few of the extra piles of rock around the site in the next week.
Duration: Project is completed and the road is open for traffic. 

PROJECT NO. STP-S-C064(110)—5E-64

Location: 3.5 miles of 330th Street (E67) East of Laurel from Highway 14 to Underwood Ave.
Contractor: Cessford Construction Le Grand 
Construction Activity: Road has received Cold In Place Recycling (C.I.P.R.) where the existing roadway is ground up and then re-laid with fresh oil. This is the first step in the overlay process, the next being the hot asphalt overlay of 2". This is scheduled to take place the week of Sept. 6th but due to the recent rain may be postponed a week. The road is closed to through traffic.
Duration: The project should take around four weeks to complete.


PROJECT NO. BRS-C064(106)--60-64

Location: Iowa river bridge on Marble Road approximately 3/4 mile West of Knapp Ave. or 1.5 miles West of Liscomb.
Contractor: Godberson Smith of Ida Grove, Iowa
Construction Activity: Contractor has the old bridge removed and is currently building the east pier. The road will be closed to traffic thoughout the contruction.
Duration: The project should take around four months to complete but due to rain and high water this could be extended.

PROJECT NO. FM-TSF-C064(112)—5B-64

Location: 2 miles of East Main Street Road (E35) East of Marshalltown from city limits to Three Bridges Road on Wallace Ave.
Contractor: Cessford Contruction of LeGrand.
Construction Activity: Road will receive a 2” asphalt overlay, newly designed rumble strips and updated signs.
Duration: Marshall County has a projected start date of September or October and should take around four weeks to complete.

GRANULAR RESURFACING
DIVISION 1

Location: Covers the Northeast ¼ of the county from Knapp Ave. East and from East Main Street Road North.
Contractor: Cessford Construction Inc. from Le Grand, IA.
Construction Activity: Gravel roads receive new rock.
Duration: Project is complete.

DIVISION 2 & 4

Location: Covers the Southern ½ of the county from Highway 30 South.
Contractor: Martin Marietta, rock will come from their Ferguson quarry.
Construction Activity: Gravel roads receive new rock.
Duration: Divisions two and four are completed. 

DIVISION 3

Location: Covers the Northwest ¼ of the county from Knapp Ave. West and from Highway 30 North.
Contractor: Knife River Corporation, rock will come from their quarry located north of St. Anthony on S57
Construction Activity: Gravel roads receive new rock.
Duration: Project is completed.
