by dcornwell last modified 2020-08-27 08:06 AM

Residents of Marshall County may use the two following MARKED sites for dumping of vegetative debris from the August 10th storm:

  • Diagonal section of unused roadway north of Garwin Rd, approximately 1/4 mile west of Wallace Ave.

  • Farm field on south side of 265th St, approximately 1/2 mile west of Iowa Highway 14.

Only vegetative (i.e. trees, bushes, brush) debris may be dumped. No dumping of construction/building debris is allowed.  Sites will be monitored for activity and liability reasons.  En trance to both sites will be marked with sign reading "TREE DEBRIS ONLY". Both sites will be closed to dumping on October 15th or earlier if it is apparent that public use of the debris sites have ended. Additional pubic information will be shared when sites are closed.  Please call the Marshall County Engineer's Office with questions.

Sincerely,

Paul Geilenfeldt, P.E.
