Yoga in the park!
Join Marshall County Conservation and Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA for Nature Yoga series at the Grimes Farm and Conservation Center Amphitheater. Come relax and connect with nature with Heidi Draisey, YogaFit Certified Yoga Teacher and an A.C.E. Personal Trainer. There will be four classes offered during the months of June and July. Registration fee is $5.00 per participants 16 years of age and up, youth under the age of 16 are free, but must be accompanied by an adult. Bring along a yoga mat or towel, some mats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please bring your own water and strap or block, if you wish.
Youth and Yoga Series – June 18 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Planks and Picnics
Grab your picnic lunch and head out to the Grimes Farm on International Picnic Day on June 18th for the first Youth and Yoga session. This yoga series is ideal for elementary to middle school ages student, however all ages are welcomed. Yoga sessions will be beginner-friendly and help youth build confidence in a non-competitive setting, unplug from electronics and connect with nature. This session of the series will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at 11:00 a.m. Participants then can enjoy their picnic lunch. Participants must pre-register and pay registration fee by June 15th at 4:00 p.m. To register call 641-752-5490.
