Make a leopold bench!

Looking for a one of a kind gift for that outdoorsy person, gardener, or yourself? Head out to the Grimes Farm and Conservation Center the evening of November 16th to build a reclaimed wood Leopold Bench.  Aldo Leopold was known as the father of wildlife ecology and the wilderness system.  He created this simple style of bench for a place to sit and enjoy nature. Our benches will be constructed from old cedar telephone poles and ready for participants to assemble. Youth under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.  Participants must pre-register by calling 641-752-5490 and pay the program fee of $40.00 before November 3.
