Learn how mead is made.

On July 9th from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. join owners of Buzzed Bee Meadery, Wayne and Michelle Spohnheimer, who opened up Buzzed Bee Meadery in Melbourne in September of 2016.  Learn about making mead and how their hobby has turned into a growing business. As the oldest fermented beverage, Mead is making a comeback and Buzzed Bee Meadery is the first exclusive mead producer in the State. Learn about how they got started, the basics about mead and future opportunities.  There is no fee for this program, however we request that participants pre-register before July 5 by calling the Grimes Farm and Conservation Center at 641-752-5490.
