Learn about permaculture.

Thomas Thurston will present an introduction to Permaculture. Permaculture is a system of agricultural and social design principles centered around simulating or directly utilizing the patterns and features observed in natural ecosystems  The information presented will include a brief history of permaculture--short for permanent agriculture--followed by an introduction to the twelve principles of permaculture. If weather permits, the talk will conclude with a short nature walk to look at the native forest ecosystem and discuss how agriculture can be inspired by nature. Please pre-register by calling (641)752-5490, class is FREE.
