Learn about the Boundry Waters Canoe Wilderness Area.

BWSet aside in 1926, the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area (BWCWA) is over one million acres made up of thousands of lakes, stream, rocky shores and dense timber that offers remote wilderness adventures. On August 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. naturalist Emily Herring will share pictures and stories of her trips into the Minnesota back country, as well as tips on planning your own trip into the BWCWA. There is no fee for this program, however we request that participants pre-register before August 4 by calling the Grimes Farm and Conservation Center

at 641-752-5490.
