Denny has been a Marshall County Supervisor since January 2009 and is now serving a second term. Denny and his wife Barb enjoy spending time with their children, grandchildren and two Dachshunds. They have recently become grandparents again and now that makes 5!
Bill and his wife Rosalee live in the northwest part of Marshall County, Where they farm and have raised their four children. Bill and Rosalee met while they were attending Iowa State University. Upon their graduation and marriage, they taught school prior to beginning their farming career. Bill enjoys the work about the farm, woodworking projects, studying history, and gathering the family together for family events. Bill's 46 years of experience in business, education, and community service has now culminated into an opportunity to serve Marshall County as one the County Supervisors.
Dave and Kathy Thompson have owned and operated Thompson True Value Hardware since 1986. Their son Paul has also joined the family business. Dave majored in business administration and economics at the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire. He is an avid sports fan of high school and college sports, and loves the great outdoors…especially fishing. He and Kathy also have two dogs Jackson and Reagan that were adopted through the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown.
Lisa has been the Administrative Assistant to the Board of Supervisors since the spring of 2007. She has lived in Marshalltown since 1979, but now resides in Montezuma, IA at Lake Ponderosa. Before joining the County, she practiced as a Licensed Dental Hygienist and served as an early morning fitness instructor at the Community Y. She is the mother of two young adults. Her oldest daughter Jessica continues to live and enjoy her work at a Sprout Home in Chicago, Illinois. Her son Vince currently is a student at Marshalltown Community College and Ellsworth residing in Marshalltown. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, the outdoors and working on projects.
