Sept. 8th School Election
Marshall County Auditor, Karen Squiers today encouraged all registered voters to go to the polls Tuesday, September 8, 2009, to vote in the School Election.
The polls will be open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM in Marshalltown, East Marshall, GMG and West Marshall Community School Districts. The polling place hours in surrounding districts may also vary; voters are advised to check public notices carefully.
MARSHALLTOWN COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Precinct 1 - All that portion lying in the First Ward of the City of Marshalltown. The polling place for said School Voting Precinct shall be at VFW Post 839, 108 N. Center St. in the City of Marshalltown. MC1 Sample Ballot
Precinct 2 - All that portion lying in the Second Ward of the City of Marshalltown. The polling place for said School Voting Precinct shall be at the Iowa Veterans Home, Malloy Hall, 13th and Summit Street, in the City of Marshalltown. MC2 Sample Ballot
Precinct 3 - All that portion lying in the Third Ward of the City of Marshalltown and all rural areas of the School District contained in Iowa, Taylor, Jefferson, Liscomb, Eden, Logan, Marietta, Washington, and Timber Creek Townships including the cities of Haverhill and Albion. The polling place for said School Voting Precinct shall be at the Fisher Community Center, 709 South Center Street, in the City of Marshalltown.

Precinct 4 - All that portion lying in the Fourth Ward of the City of Marshalltown. The polling place for said School Voting Precinct shall be at the First Baptist Church, 700 E. Olive St., in the City of Marshalltown. MC4 Sample Ballot
GMG COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Precinct No. 1 - Garwin City Hall - All that portion of the GMG Community School District lying in Carlton, Crystal, Howard, Indian Village and Spring Creek Townships in Tama County. GMG1 Sample Ballot
Precinct No. 2 - Green Mountain Lions Park Building - All that portion of the GMG Community School District lying in Marion, Taylor and Vienna Townships in Marshall County. GMG2 Sample Ballot
EAST MARSHALL COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Precinct No. 1 - LeGrand Area Community Building - All that portion of the East Marshall Community School District lying in the Fourth Ward in the City of Marshalltown, LeGrand, Marion and Timber Creek Townships in Marshall County and Indian Village Township in Tama County. EM1 Sample Ballot

WEST MARSHALL COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Precinct No. 1 - Clemons Fire Station - all that portion of the Townships of Bangor, Liberty, and Minerva in Marshall County. WM1 Sample Ballot
Precinct No. 2 - Melbourne Recreation Center - all that portion of the Townships of Eden and Logan in Marshall County and the Township of Collins in Story County. WM2 Sample Ballot
Precinct No. 3 - State Center City Hall - all that portion of the Townships of Marietta, Washington and State Center in Marshall County and the Township of New Albany in Story County. WM3 Sample Ballot
If a voter knows in advance, that they will not be able to get to the polls on Election Day, please come to the Auditor’s Office, Courthouse, 2nd Floor, SE Corner between 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. and cast an absentee ballot. A voter may cast an absentee ballot through Friday, September 4, 2006
Squiers further reminds all voters that if they are currently registered to vote in Marshall County, but have moved or changed their name, they may simply correct the records at the polls when they vote.
